Jack’s hand lingers on John’s shoulder. “Thank you,” he says, and then takes the cold iron stairs up towards the main level. His greatcoat catches the back of each lock as he tries to get to one of his kids.
That leaves Steve more confused than ever as he looks at the other three. They all seem to understand what’s going on, but Steve really doesn’t have a clue.
