Jack is not about to leave Gabriel with John. It takes the other guy a long time to get that tick under control around new people with abilities. He still can’t trust him around Klaus. If Gabriel falls off the wagon again, especially here, Jack is going to have a problem. They don’t have a support system him and John is powerful enough that he might not be able to snap the guy back again.
When Peter suggests they pair up, Jack insists they become a triplet. “Gabe has it here,” the Captain says, one hand on Peter’s shoulder as he smiles at John. “So where are you from?”
